TIMESTAMPER

TIMESTAMPER

A dedicated cockpit time piece for training and everyday flight routines.

Timestamper is built to make takeoff and landing timestamps instant and reliable during training, then extend that same device into a practical all-in-one flight timer for real cockpit use.

KEY FUNCTIONS

Purpose-built capabilities for real cockpit use.

GPS disciplined time

Keeps clock accuracy anchored to GPS timing when available.

One button time stamp

Quickly mark events like takeoff and landing, designed for PPL flight training logs.

Fuel timer and stopwatch

Covers common flight-timer workflows in a compact interface.

In-flight reference metrics

Shows GPS altitude, true heading, and ground speed for situational reference.

Smart power gating

A P-MOSFET can fully cut power to the GPS module when not needed.

AAA battery power

Operates from 3x regular AAA cells or 3x Ni-MH AAA rechargeables.

USB-C power input

Can run from USB-C power when batteries are not preferred.

Yoke or wrist mounting

Uses a Velcro strip mount for flexible cockpit placement.

OPEN SOURCE

Fully open-source software and hardware.

This project is released as an open-source build, including software, PCB hardware design files, and enclosure CAD sources.
